    Lecturer in Strategic Management and Marketing at ISEG - Lisbon School of Economics & Management. Chagas is a member of the ADVANCE - CSG/Research in Social Sciences and Management research unit of the University of Lisbon. His research focuses mainly on marketing and business strategy. His work has been published in international peer review journals and conference proceedings. He has also tutored several Master degree Students.

    For almost 5 years he served as Coordinator of Research & Development at Santa Casa da Misericórdia de Lisboa. Chagas has more than 15 years' work experience as a practitioner, successfully leading projects and teams in the several positions he has held.  As Project Director he led the digital transformation and innovation of several departments at Santa Casa, with a major focus on HR (manager and employee self service solutions).    Previously, he worked as Director of Vocational Training and Personnel Development. He has also held positions as Strategy and CSR Manager (Responsible Gaming) and Product manager at Jogos Santa Casa, the Portuguese National Lottery.    Chagas's work has been recognized by several international institutions. He received the Young Lions Award, for young upcoming executives, attributed by the European Lotteries Association.
