Mergers, Acquisitions and Restructurings (2 º Sem 2019/2020)

Several students din't sent the email about their choice of topic. It is urgent to do it. Please do not send emails to your professor asking for what is the subject. Several ideas of topics were present at the end of the class on "Corporate Strategy and M&A" . See the last three slides of that session. I also said that if you have any other suggestion I am open as long as the topic is related to the course M&A and Restructuring. 

The students that did not choose the topic should do it ASAP because the essay is to be delivered until 31 March.

Send your email to jcneves@iseg.ulisboa.pt telling what is the title of the essay you would like to do.

Note: Essay is up to 5 pages. Appendix do not account for this number.

Considering the decision of the University Rector and the Dean of the school we do not have presencial classes until 30 March. in order to create the less disturbance as possible in the schedule we have decided to videotape these classes and make them available for you in the same day so that you may watch them at your convenience time.

In the Aquila we may organize a Forum for each class so that you may ask your questions and we may exchange thinking. In addition to that, the class at 30 March will start with a period for any additional questions and clarifications

The syndicated groups must deliver their report on the Valuation of CIPAN until 6 May 2020.

1. We may learn about the company on the website that is in english: http://www.cipan.pt/ 
2. There is a ZIP File with Annual Financial Reports of the company. However these are in portuguese only. I am waiting from the firm if they have anything in english, at least the most recent years.

4.  I have exported the financial accounts in EXCEL and they are already in the Aquila. Take note the accounts are in USD and on the top you have information of the echange rate used. So, you may have the data in EUR easily.
5. I have a collection of news that appear in press at the time of the takeover (in two phases) that I am translating to english. I expect to make this available during next week.
