Program

By the end of the course students will be able to do the following in French:

- Acquire and use necessary vocabulary to introduce oneself and establish contact with someone;
- Describe common situations, locations and people (physical characteristics, as well as feelings) in a syntactic form;
- Use expressions for descriptions of likes and dislikes;
- Use and express likes and dislikes, as well as preferences; use common and current expressions in various situations related to everyday life, (business, studies, public administration, professional);
- Ask and answer questions regarding information about family and daily routines;
- Understand and acquire listening skills for conversations about topics abovementioned;
- Understand short conversations regarding the subjects learned so far, assimilate and show progress in consolidation of material and begin first steps towards self-correction of the French language;
- Read and understand simple and easy texts about daily life, as well as likes and dislikes and preferences;
- Write brief texts regarding daily life and routines without interference from mother-tongue language;
- Consolidate listening skills by listening to short extracts, dialogues and short pieces of conversation.
