Gestão Financeira II (1 º Sem 2010/2011)

Several students from previous years have asked whether the previous version of the recommended book is sufficiently updated.

I'm providing you now with a list of changes made from the 1st to the 2nd edition:

1. The new version includes 21 "boxes" discussing aspects of the Financial Crisis. (This is not crucial to us).
2. The topics in "Part IV-Risk and Return" were re-organized: the CAPM derivation has been combined into one single chapter, Chapter 11.
3. New chapter 12 "estimating the cost of capital" is a new chapter that directly addresses how to calculate the cost of capital.
4. Chapter 13 "Investor Behavor and capital market efficiency" has been extensively revised and renamed.
5. Many of the practitioner interviews were updated. (This is not crucial for us).
6. 200 new problems were added. MyFinancelab also has some upgrades.

Dear Students:

Because some ERASMUS students have difficulty in getting appropriate access to aquila, I'm giving public access to the files posted in our GFII webpage in aquila. Some of these files will require a password to open. The password will be given to you in class/lecture.
