Inglês I (2 º Sem 2019/2020)

Dear Students,

We shall be recommencing classes as of Tuesday, 17 March. I shall try to give a class using the on-line platform Microsoft Teams, which should preclude the need for Aquila. I shall definitely be relying on your help! I intend to maintain the timetable, so I look forward to seeing/hearing (whatever works) you at 3 o'clock.

Due to the changes to the teaching schedule, in consequence of the suspension of classes because of the Coronavirus, the evaluation criteria for English 1 must be revised.

I propose the following changes to the semester-based assessment:

Writing portfolio. - 30%

Debate (oral) : 40%

Exam in EN/ER: 30%

For students with no semester-based assessment, the criteria remain unchanged.

Dear Students,

Because classes have been suspended until 27 March, I am working on alternative arrangements. Unfortunately I had planned to have mainly interactive oral activities over the next couple of weeks.

In the meantime, I have sent you the first written assignment with feedback. Please use the grammar file to understand the codes. Then rewrite it, underlining any changes, and send me the revised text by email as a word document.

In addition, please check for announcements regularly on the English webpage on Aquila.
