History of Economic Thought (1 º Sem 2020/2021)

To all students

Following the decision of our University, the 2^nd February exam will be online.

So,

1. I will open the Teams some minutes before 18h in order to present some indications and solve problems.

2. By 18h, you will have the questions in your Teams files as well as in your Aquila/Optional Section/Final Exam.

3. You should send the pdf of your reply by 20h to flouc@iseg.ulisboa.pt. Please use your name to name the file of your reply. So, it should be “Mary Poppins final exam HET 2 feb 2021” or similar.

4. If the exam is sent to the mail after 20h10, it will not be considered.

5. All the files will be checked by the Urkund software in order to prevent plagiarism. As you know, this is quite effective, the software checks millions of other files and detects phrases which are copied and pasted. In that case, your exam will be null. Unfortunately, there is no exam without such errors.

Your final marks for the first exam (plus continuous assessment) are now available.

Please note that:

1) English must be improved. For many students, it is below the required qualification for a masters dissertation

2) In some cases, students were victim of self-confidence. As I repeatedly told you, studying during the two hours of the exam, as you have acess to the readings, is not a good strategy. Summarizing some pargraphs of hastily read texts does not qualify as an answer.

3) whenever the final mark was 9, I have put 10.
