Theme: Employment
Language focus:
- Production of short reports (oral and written), written syntheses of information, and job-related correspondence;
- Technical vocabulary related to the fields of Economics, Finance and Management;
- Revision (on a needs-arise basis) of linguistic structures commonly found in texts on Economics, Finance and Management.
Methodology: An integrated approach to the four skills - listening, reading, speaking and writing - will be taken, with greater emphasis placed on the production skills.
Texts - both oral and written - will be systematically explored for their socio-cultural characteristics and will provide a springboard for oral and written activities.
Activities will include individual, pair and group work. Writing and speaking tasks will provide opportunities for individual feedback.
