Assessment Process
1) Normal examination period
The assessment in accordance with Article nº 2 of the General Regulation on Knowledge Assessment (RGAC) will be the result of a weighted average of the following evaluation elements:
- Written test (examination) to be carried out at the end of the teaching period (weighting 60% of the final evaluation score ? minimum: 8 points) - individual assignment;
- Continuous evaluation - class participation and Final Group Work - (weighting 40% of the final evaluation score: 35% for Final Group Work, 5% for attendance and participation in the classroom).
2) Repeat examination period
The assessment at repeat examination period, according to article 3 (nº. 1 and 2) of the General Regulations for the Evaluation of Knowledge (RGAC), is based on an individual written test. The final classification may consider the overall assessment components throughout the semester, with the weights defined for the normal examination period, in case it benefits the student.
