Resumo
O recente surto da COVID-19 que está a afetar a sociedade mundial, impõe restrições à circulação e o encerramento de unidades comerciais obrigando a processos de adaptação e resiliência dos vários setores, nomeadamente do setor agroalimentar. Quanto a este último, tem-se verificado, por um lado, dificuldades de escoamento de produtos agroalimentares e, por outro, o crescimento da distribuição dos produtos agroalimentares utilizando comunicação online. Este estudo propôs-se a compreender o grau de resiliência das organizações produtoras agroalimentares perante a pandemia, a partir da perspetiva das organizações de produtores que também atuam como produtores, bem como analisar se o tipo de modelo de negócio sustentável ou a sua ausência influencia o grau de resiliência. O método de recolha de dados utilizado foi o questionário online e foram inquiridas 266 organizações agroalimentares portuguesas, das quais foi obtido um total de 73 respostas válidas. O estudo contribuiu para a compreensão dos determinantes da resiliência das organizações e das respetivas cadeias de abastecimento, e também para compreender a importância que os produtores do sector agroalimentar português dão às características dos modelos de negócios sustentáveis. A análise dos resultados permitiu identificar uma relação entre o grau de resiliência das organizações e o tipo de impacto provocado pela pandemia da COVID-19. No entanto, não foi demonstrada nenhuma contribuição proveniente do tipo de característica de sustentabilidade dos modelos de negócios para a resiliência. (Português)
The recent COVID-19 pandemic, which is affecting world society, imposes restrictions on the movement and closure of business units, forcing processes of adaptation and resilience of the various sectors, particularly the agri-food sector. Regarding the latter, on the one hand, there have been difficulties in disposing of agri-food products and, on the other, the growth in the distribution of agri-food products using online communication. This study aimed to understand the degree of resilience of agri-food production organisations to the pandemic, from the perspective of producer organisations that also act as producers, and to analyse whether the type of sustainable business model or its absence influences the degree of resilience. The data collection method used was the online questionnaire and 266 Portuguese agri-food organisations were surveyed, from which a total of 73 valid answers were obtained. The study contributed to the understanding of the determinants of resilience of organisations and their supply chains, as well as to the understanding of the importance that producers in the Portuguese agri-food sector give to the characteristics of sustainable business models. The analysis of the results identified a relationship between the degree of resilience of organisations and the type of impact caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. However, no contribution to resilience has been demonstrated from the type of sustainability characteristics of business models. (Inglês)
