ESG and ROE before and after the implementation of ESG practices across German Industries

This dissertation investigates the relationship between ESG and ROE in the context of the EU NFRD, using data from German firms across six industries from 2011 to 2022, revealing that mandatory non-financial reporting significantly affects firm performance, with industry-specific variations present, and important policy and managerial implications for the future of non-financial reporting.
