Abstract:
Artificial intelligence (AI) and extended reality (XR) are changing the face of the retail sector. Diverse retailing or product brands are embracing them with the purpose of improving their business and society in general. We intend to give an overview of research conducted within this umbrella of AI, XR, and retail while opening gaps and avenues to the future. Where are we going? Who will be the customers and employees in the future? Although these questions cannot be answered, we will reflect on and discuss these themes.
