Biografia
Carlos J. Costa é Professor Associado com Agregação no ISEG (Instituto Superior de Economia e Gestão), Universidade de Lisboa, desde setembro de 2017. Carlos possui um doutoramento em Ciências e Tecnologias da Informação na área de Sistemas de Informação e Bases de Dados pelo ISCTE. Possui um mestrado em Ciências da Gestão, na especialidade de estratégia e desenvolvimento empresaria, pela mesma universidade e uma licenciatura em Administração e Gestão de Empresas pela Universidade Católica Portuguesa. É memebro da comissão executiva do Departamento de Gestão do ISEG e membro da coordenação do programa de doutoramento em Gestão. Carlos foi anteriormente diretor do centro de investigação Addetti-IUL e coordenador do grupo de Sistemas de Informação no centro de investigação ISTAR-IUL. Também foi membro da direção do Centro de Inovação e Empreendedorismo Audax-IUL. Carlos é membro da IEEE, da Ordem dos Economistas, da Ordem dos Contabilistas Certificados e da ACM. É também presidente do EuroSIGDOC/ACM. Foi presidente e coordenador de programas de conferências patrocinadas pela IEEE, ACM e EuroSIGDOC/ACM. É Editor Associado da European Journal of Management Studies. As suas áreas de interesse de investigação incluem Aplicações de Aprendizagem Automática em Gestão e Finanças, Gamificação, Investigação em Design Science e Teoria de Sistemas de Informação.
