Isolated Curricular Units

• 1st Phase: July 1st to 31st, 2024
  (application for curricular units in the 1st and 2nd semester);
• Phase 2: From January 1 to 15, 2025
  (application for 2nd semester curricular units)

Application fee: 60 euros (non-refundable)

External Students (including ex-students, prescribed students) to ISEG - 350 € (for each curricular unit)

The annual school insurance premium is added to the amount to be paid for enrolment in isolated curricular units. In the event of withdrawal, the amounts already paid will not be refunded.

Enrolled students are subject to all the rights inherent to the curricular unit in which they are enrolled, namely with regard to assessment, on an equal footing with students attending that curricular unit by normal means. Curricular units taken by ISEG students do not count for the purposes of calculating the final average of the degree. The student is entitled to a certificate showing the curricular units taken and the grade obtained. Curricular units taken in isolation do not confer the award of a course diploma or academic degree.

Isolated curricular units are credited in accordance with the Regulations for the Crediting and Curricular Integration of Professional Experience and Academic Training of the Instituto Superior de Economia e Gestão, if their holder acquires the status of student in a higher education study cycle that contains these curricular units in its Study Plan.

All interested parties will be notified by email:

• Applications required in Phase 1 - September 1, 2024 (subject to confirmation);
• Applications required in Stage 2 - January 21, 2025 (subject to confirmation).

Acceptance of the application for each curricular unit is subject to available places. Acceptance of the application is only valid for the academic year in which the application is submitted.

In each academic year, the maximum number of isolated curricular units that a candidate can register for cannot exceed a total of 30 ECTS.

Whenever a candidate enrolls in isolated curricular units in several academic years, the maximum number of isolated curricular units in the total of those academic years in which they are enrolled may not exceed 60 ECTS.

Registration for curricular units takes place during the periods below:

• Applications accepted in Phase 1 - September 5-6, 2024 (subject to confirmation);
• Applications accepted in Stage 2 - January 21 to 24, 2025 (subject to confirmation).
