The results of the independent evaluation of the R&D Units were published, based on the reports of 23 panels of international experts from more than 15 countries, who visited all the Units in 2007 and 2008 and evaluated written reports previously submitted to the Foundation for Science and Technology (FCT) by the Units themselves.
The results include the classification awarded to each unit, which is used for the purposes of the basic funding to be awarded by the Foundation for Science and Technology (FCT) to each Unit in the coming years.
Research and service units (UIp's)
CEMAPRE and SOCIUS obtained a rating of
Excellent.
Once again,
CEsA, GHES and UECE obtained a
Very good
The newly created
ADVANCE was classified as
Good.
