On November 16, 2009, the Rectory of the Technical University of Lisbon (UTL) held the 3rd edition of the UTL/Santander Totta Scientific Awards at the Congress Center of the Instituto Superior Técnico, at 3:30 p.m., to UTL Professors/Researchers who have distinguished themselves in their respective fields by the number and impact of the papers they have published in internationally circulated scientific journals.
The 2009 UTL/Santander Totta Award for research in Economics went to António Afonso, from ISEG's Economics Department.
