ISEG is delighted that the Council of the European Union for Economic and Financial Affairs (ECOFIN) has recommended the appointment of Prof. Vitor Constâncio, Visiting Professor at ISEG and coordinator of the Master's Degree in Monetary and Financial Economics at ISEG, as Vice-President of the ECB - European Central Bank.
His new role is a source of honor for us, as it is certainly the result of his unquestionable expertise in the Monetary and Financial area, which has always been a hallmark of ISEG, and which we now also see indirectly recognized.
We wish Professor Vitor Constâncio all the best in his new role, knowing that his good performance will honor ISEG and Portugal.
Professor Vitor Constâncio knows that despite his new role he will continue to make ISEG his home, where he will always be welcome because the School will never consider that he has left it.
