ISEG students take part in the discussion on the "2010 State Budget" on SIC's "Minuto a Minuto" live blog

Image SIC Global ParliamentOn February 10, starting at 10 a.m., a panel of special guests - Economics professors and students from ISEG, Nova and Catholic Universities, and the Universities of Porto and Minho - were in the galleries of Parliament - to comment live on the debate on the State Budget for 2010.

For the first time in the country, this space has been opened up to Portuguese universities during the debate on the 2010 State Budget. The aim of this online dialog is to encourage democracy and the discussion of ideas, and so we invite and challenge everyone to participate.

The next turnout is scheduled for March 12, when the budget closes.

The Global Parliament is committed to its relationship with universities and is counting on their participation in one of the most important parliamentary debates of the year.

The Global Parliament is an information site that follows current political events and focuses on civic education and citizenship.
The project was born at SIC in July 2007, but the happy combination of the Impresa and Rádio Renascença groups made it possible to move forward with a partnership that led to the launch of a website with its own newsroom, located in the Assembly of the Republic.
One of the most successful pieces of content is the MINUTO A MINUTO blog - a dynamic forum-style tool, a unique discussion space on the Portuguese internet with a panel of commentators, many of them MPs. This blog takes place live during major political events such as the fortnightly debates and election nights ( http://tinyurl.com/ycr7n2p).
