April 21 and 22, 2010 The 3rd edition of the event "The Development Days" will take place at the Rio Pavilion of the Lisbon Congress Center, under the theme "Citizenship and Development", with 3 associated sub-themes: Communication and Development; Knowledge, Capacity Building, Technology Transfer and Development; Democracy, Rule of Law, Security and Development. ISEG will participate together with UTL!
The event includes exhibitions, conferences and seminars, parallel and cultural events and will allow for the knowledge and dissemination of cooperation activities with Developing Countries, in particular with Portuguese Speaking Countries. The third edition of the Development Days initiative will enable the debate and reflection of the various Portuguese Cooperation players on the current challenges facing development to be strengthened.
The central theme of this third edition - Citizenship and Development - aims to raise awareness and mobilize society towards a responsible, informed, conscious and active global citizenship on development issues. With this initiative, we want to contribute to the consolidation of values and attitudes of dialogue and proximity between all those who work in cooperation, and the wider society. This theme, which is broad and inclusive, can unfold in multiple dimensions, and we have chosen in this initiative to focus our attention on themes such as Communication and Development; Knowledge, Capacity Building and Technology Transfer; Democracy, Rule of Law, Security and Development, and Education for Development.
