Yesterday, September 6, ISEG was once again deeply touched by the premature death of its loyal and illustrious professor, Professor Dr. José Guilherme Alves.
Former student, graduated in Economics from ISEG (ISCEF) in 1972 and Master in Marketing also from ISEG, current Guest Professor at our School, Prof. José Guilherme Alves, discreetly, over the years, earned the respect and friendship of colleagues, students and staff, used knowledge with pedagogy and humility, dedicated himself to ISEG with the soul of one who gives everything and asks little or nothing in return, and therefore, at this moment, deserves that we remember him and keep him in a prominent place in our memories.
Prof. José Guilherme Alves began his teaching activity at our school in 1976, having taught a variety of undergraduate, postgraduate and master's subjects, with a special dedication to the areas of Economic History and more recently Marketing.
Prof. José Guilherme Alves also had extensive professional experience as a consultant in the areas of strategic planning and marketing, product manager and marketing director in several companies, collaborated as a marketing consultant for our school, was an active member of CEGE/ISEG, integrating project teams in several companies and
institutions, and recently held a coordination position at IDEFE.
We emphasize and remember with nostalgia her good disposition, politeness, attitude and availability towards all those with whom she had contact in our school.
The Presidency
We inform you that the body of Prof. José Guilherme Alves will be in a burning chamber next Friday morning, at the Mercês Church (Chapel) - Rua Eduardo Coelho, 95, in Lisbon.
The mass will take place on Saturday morning at 10:00 a.m., followed by the funeral at 11:30 a.m. at the Alto de S. João cemetery where the body will be cremated.
