His Excellency the Minister of Internal Affairs visits ISEG - January 6th

Minister of Internal AffairsHis Excellency the Minister of Internal Affairs has expressed his wish to visit ISEG tomorrow, January 6th.

The purpose of this visit is to be able to address all higher education students and inform them that they can now (as of the next presidential election) vote at their current place of residence for study purposes, rather than at their place of electoral registration. This will allow the student population to participate more in the next elections, since the number of displaced students who are still taking exams on the date of the next election (January 23rd) is expected to be high.

ISEG has always been a school that is attentive to and participates in national civic life, both through its teachers and its students, namely through active participation in elections, and has now been chosen as the school where this measure will be publicly announced.

As its president, I can't help but be proud of the choice, not least because it will be another opportunity for us to show Portugal what our school is all about, and the good, healthy working environment and civic participation that we enjoy here.

The visit is scheduled to begin with his arrival at ISEG via Rua do Quelhas at 6:30 p.m., and the presentation will take place in the BES classroom in the Quelhas 6 building (floor 4 of the Convento).

Afterwards, the visit will take in some of the rooms at ISEG, ending at the Rua das Francesinhas exit (next to the banners).

I know I can count on you, on your always available participation, and it will be with great honor and pride that I represent you, feeling that you are "living" the School.

João Duque
The Dean of ISEG
