4th Edition of the Development Days - May 5th and 6th

The 4th edition of the Development Days will take place in Lisbon on May 5 and 6, an event promoted by the Portuguese Institute for Development Support, in which UTL has been involved since the first edition. This year's theme is "The Challenges of Development" and a strong participation from universities is expected, both from teachers and researchers as well as from students.

The event will take place at the Institute of Social and Political Sciences of the Technical University of Lisbon, which adds, if possible, responsibility to the UTL in the organization and dynamization of the so-called parallel events, sessions of a more restricted scope aimed at audiences more directly interested in the topics under discussion.

On May 5, between 11:30 and 13:00, a Lecture will be held in Room 2, under the responsibility of UTL, with the presence of Professor João Sebastião Teta, Secretary of State for Science, Technology and Innovation, as guest speaker, representative at the highest level of the Government of Angola, and Professors from UTL Schools.

The Technical University of Lisbon (UTL) has among its strategic objectives the increase of internationalization, namely with the Portuguese-speaking countries.
In this sense, and in the particular case of these countries, UTL has played an active role in the areas of teaching, research, consultancy and entrepreneurship.

These lectures on the theme "UTL's contributions in Portuguese-speaking countries" will make it possible to publicize the actions and projects that are being developed in Angola and also projects that have been carried out by UTL within the scope of cooperation, as well as some of the initiatives that are envisaged and that will strengthen cooperation ties with these countries, constituting a space for reflection and debate.
