Rúben Sousa, 2nd year student of MAEG, was selected for the New Talents in Mathematics 2012 program, instituted by the Gulbenkian Foundation.
This program annually distinguishes university students who demonstrate high academic merit. Each contestant selected by the program is guided, during the duration of the scholarship, by a Doctor in Mathematics who acts as a tutor.
In previous editions of the program other MAEG students had already been distinguished: Pedro Silvério Gonçalves (2004/2005), Cláudia Duarte (2005/2006), Ricardo Moreira (2010/2011) and Frederico Toulson and Ricardo Moreira (2011/2012).
