Former ISEG students and teachers honored

Tomorrow, the President of the Republic will decorate eight former government officials, including Nuno Crato, Full Professor at ISEG, and Paulo Macedo and António Bagão Félix, former students at ISEG.

Nuno Crato, Full Professor at ISEG, Paulo Macedo and António Bagão Félix, former ISEG students, will be decorated tomorrow by the President of the Republic with the Grand Cross of the Order of Henry the Navigator.

According to the Portuguese Honorific Orders website, the Order of Prince Henry the Navigator is intended "to distinguish those who have rendered relevant services to Portugal, at home and abroad, as well as services in the expansion of Portuguese culture or for knowledge of Portugal, its history and its values".

Nuno Crato and Paulo Macedo were respectively Minister of Education, Science and Higher Education and Minister of Health in the XIX Constitutional Government. In turn, António Bagão Félix held various ministerial positions, the last being Minister of Finance and Public Administration in the 16th Constitutional Government.
