MIT Technology Review nominates ISEG article

MIT Technology Review named the article The Topology of African Exports: Emerging Patterns on Spanning Trees by Professors Tanya Araujo and Manuel Ennes Ferreira in a "selection of the most interesting and challenging papers" from April ( https://www.technologyreview.com/s/601315/the-best-of-the-physics-arxiv-week-ending-april-23-2016/).

The article will appear in Physica A: Statistical Mechanics and Its applications, vol.462, pp. 962-976, in November ( http://dx.doi.org/10.1016/j.physa.2016.06.044), use a database of exports from African countries to describe the links using network analysis. Using the destination share network and the product share network, the authors uncover emerging topological patterns in Africa's foreign trade that have hitherto not been addressed in the literature.
