ISEG responsible for the "Portugal Sou Eu" work is listening to consumers to determine the program's awareness.

The "Portugal Sou Eu"Through a study developed by the ISEG - Lisbon School of Economics & Management of the University of Lisbon, you will learn about the notoriety that the initiative has with the public.

With this study, "Portugal Sou Eu" will assess the value that the program has for consumers - who in recent months have had the opportunity to contact with two major advertising campaigns - and to know the relevance and weight that the "Portugal Sou Eu" Seal has in the choice of the product.

The study should be presented during the month of November in Lisbon, during the "Portugal Sou Forum".

In 2014, "Portugal Sou Eu" carried out a study on "Portugality", also under the responsibility of ISEG, which showed that 73 % of the Portuguese are concerned about the origin of the products and look for this information in the products, more than 60% buy, often or always, and 97.6% is satisfied with the purchase of these products.

"Portugal Sou Eu" has 1,700 registered companies and covers more than 5,200 products identified with the "Portugal Sou Eu" Seal, representing an aggregate turnover of more than 6.4 billion euros.

The Seal and the "Adhering Establishment Status" help in the recognition and valorization of products and services of Portuguese origin, allowing consumers to make an informed choice.


About "Portugal Sou Eu"
The "Portugal Sou Eu" program was launched in December 2012 by the Government of Portugal to improve the competitiveness of Portuguese companies, promote the balance of trade, combat unemployment and contribute to the sustained growth of the economy.

The program values, through the Seal, the production of products, services and crafts. The attribution of the "Portugal Sou Eu Adherent Establishment" status is intended for companies in the trade, catering and related sectors that sell "Portugal Sou Eu" products.

Products and services that meet the requirements to join the Program are identified by the consumer through the "Portugal Sou Eu" Seal:

There are already several public figures from different parts of Portuguese society who have accepted the invitation of the Ministry of Economy to be Ambassadors of the project. Through their testimonies and presence at events, the 18 Ambassadors of "Portugal Sou Eu" (Carlos Coelho, Carolina Piteira, Cláudia Vieira, Cristina Ferreira, Cuca Roseta, D.A.M..A, Fátima Lopes, Fernanda Freitas, Fernando Gomes, Henrique Sá Pessoa, Júlio Isidro, Júlio Magalhães, Justa Nobre, Luís Buchinho, Luís Onofre, Nelson Évora, Rosa Mota and Vítor Sobral) have contributed, through their participation in various actions, to raise awareness and disseminate the initiative throughout the country.

"Portugal Sou Eu" has funding from the Compete 2020 program and is managed by an Operational Body formed by the Business Association of Portugal (AEP), Portuguese Industrial Association-Chamber of Commerce and Industry (AIP-CCI), Confederation of Farmers of Portugal (CAP), Confederation of Commerce and Services of Portugal (CCP), Portuguese Association of Distribution Companies (APED), Association of Hotels, Restaurants and Similar Services of Portugal (AHRESP) and IAPMEI - Agency for Competitiveness and Innovation, IP, which is responsible for coordinating this same body.
