ISEG presents "Portugal Sou Eu" study in October

"Portugal Sou Eu" will evaluate the program's impact on the companies that join the initiative by carrying out a study that will be presented in October.

The study, carried out by the ISEG - Lisbon School of Economics & Management (CEGE) of the University of Lisbon, will show the results that companies have achieved by joining the program, assessing the impact that "Portugal Sou Eu" has on business activity.

The aim of this study is to find out what the participating companies gain from joining the program and to identify the results achieved in terms of sales and job creation. In addition to this aspect, the results of this study will also make it possible to create other benefits for Member Companies, in a logic of program evolution.

The program has 1,700 registered companies and covers more than 5,200 products identified with the "Portugal Sou Eu" Seal, representing an aggregate turnover of more than 6.4 billion euros.

The Seal and the "Adhering Establishment Status" help in the recognition and valorization of products and services of Portuguese origin, allowing consumers to make an informed choice.

About "Portugal Sou Eu"
The "Portugal Sou Eu" program was launched in December 2012 by the Portuguese government to improve the competitiveness of Portuguese companies, promote a balance of trade, combat unemployment and contribute to the sustained growth of the economy.

The program values, through the Seal, the production of products, services and crafts. The attribution of the "Portugal Sou Eu Adherent Establishment" status is intended for companies in the trade, catering and related sectors that sell "Portugal Sou Eu" products.

Products and services that meet the requirements to join the Program are identified by the consumer through the "Portugal Sou Eu" Seal:

Several public figures from different parts of Portuguese society have already accepted the Ministry of Economy's invitation to be Ambassadors for the project. Through their testimonies and presence at events, the 18 "Portugal Sou Eu" Ambassadors (Carlos Coelho, Carolina Piteira, Cláudia Vieira, Cristina Ferreira, Cuca Roseta, D.A.M.A, Fátima Lopes, Fernanda Freitas, Fernando Gomes, Henrique Sá Pessoa, Júlio Isidro, Júlio Magalhães, Justa Nobre, Luís Buchinho, Luís Onofre, Nelson Évora, Rosa Mota and Vítor Sobral) have contributed, through their participation in various actions, to raising awareness and spreading the initiative throughout the country.

"Portugal Sou Eu" has funding from the Compete 2020 program and is managed by an Operational Body formed by the Business Association of Portugal (AEP), Portuguese Industrial Association-Chamber of Commerce and Industry (AIP-CCI), Confederation of Farmers of Portugal (CAP), Confederation of Commerce and Services of Portugal (CCP), Portuguese Association of Distribution Companies (APED), Association of Hotels, Restaurants and Similar Services of Portugal (AHRESP) and IAPMEI - Agency for Competitiveness and Innovation, IP, which is responsible for coordinating this same body.
