The Portuguese Olympic Committee (COP) invites Portuguese authors to present their research work, with the aim of deepening the understanding of sport as an object of study, as well as collecting and analyzing current data that is essential for the decisions of the most diverse players in the national sports system.
The themes in competition in 2018 are:
- Sports Physiology and Biomechanics
- Sports Economics, Law and Management
- History and Sociology of Sport
The first place winners in each of the three areas of the competition will be awarded €5,000 (five thousand euros), while the second and third place winners (Honorable Mentions) will be awarded €1,000 (one thousand euros).
