Luso-Brazilian Dialogues: Series of Conversations on Contemporary Political Economy

From October 2 to December 16, the National Library of Portugal is hosting the Luso-Brazilian Dialogues" conference cycleThe event, which brings together 'mano-a-mano' leading researchers, one Portuguese and one Brazilian, on central theoretical and empirical problems in Contemporary Political Economy.

This initiative is co-organized by the Centre for Studies on Africa and Development (CEsA) of the Higher Institute of Economics and Management (ISEG) of the University of Lisbon, the Centre for Studies on Socioeconomic Change and Territory (DINÂMIA'CET) of the University Institute of Lisbon (ISCTE), the Institute of Contemporary History (IHC) of the Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities (FCSH) of the New University of Lisbon; supported by the inter-institutional Doctorate in Political Economy (ULisboa, ISCTE and ISEG) and the Master's Degree in Human Resources Development Policies (ISCTE/IUL), by the Foundation for Science and Technology (FCT), the Portuguese Political Economy Association, the Center for Social Studies (CES) of the University of Coimbra and ISCTE; in partnership with the BNP and Casa da América Latina.

ISEG will be represented at the session on October 16 by Professor António Mendonça, who will talk about "Developmentalism and Neo-Developmentalism"; and on December 4 by Professor Manuel Mira-Godinho, who will address the theme of "Science, Technology and Society".
