ISEG is a member of the International Equal Pay Coalition (EPIC)

ISEG is officially a stakeholder in the International Coalition for Equal Pay (EPIC - Equal Pay International Coalition), representing the Academy. EPIC was created in September 2017 at the 72nd Session of the United Nations General Assembly, bringing together governments, international organizations, business leaders, trade unions, business organizations and representatives of civil society. EPIC is coordinated by the International Labor Organization (ILO), the United Nations Department of Women (UN-WOMEN) and the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD). The Coalition brings together various partner organizations committed to reducing the gender pay gap. One of its objectives is to support member states in achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), namely SDG 8, which calls for the application of the principle of equal pay for work of equal value, as well as SDG 5, which aims to achieve equality and empower women.
The determination of Professor Sara Falcão Casaca, whose commitment ISEG recognizes and thanks, was crucial to the realization of this project.
