Scientific research carried out in universities is an essential resource for the creation of economic and social value, which not only contributes to the training of highly qualified human resources, but in many cases can give rise to technologies that underpin the development of new businesses, products or services with high added value.
The management of Intellectual Property of Universities, as well as the stimulation of entrepreneurship, are today essential instruments for the transfer of knowledge between the University and other organizations, especially companies.
In this sense, it is intended that this Conference focuses on the promotion and dissemination of concepts and good practices, making known the current work carried out at the University of Lisbon, in the area of entrepreneurship and knowledge transfer.
