On November 4th, the
awards of the Business Excellence Forum & Awards (BEFA)at the Marriott Hotel in Lisbon.
Aimed at SMEs, the BEFA awards are designed to reward the best of what companies do in Portugal. Twenty prizes will be awarded, with the added bonus that this year there is a distinction for companies with less than ten employees and companies with more than ten employees. The jury is made up of four chambers of commerce (Luso-Spanish, Luso-Belgian-Luxembourg, Luso-Colombian and Portuguese Industry), the Portuguese Quality Association and ISEG.
The award categories are: best corporate culture, best impact on the community, best marketing campaign, best non-profit company, most innovative company, young entrepreneur of the year (under 35), entrepreneur of the year, fastest growing company, CEO of the year and best company of the year.
In addition to the awards ceremony, themed seminars will be held on November 4 and 5 with the participation of international business speakers such as Shweta Jhajharia, a
business coach speaker at the UK's largest business fair (The Business Show)
, Paul Dunn, four-time TEDx speaker, successful author and president of the B1G1 (Business for Good) organization, Brad Sugars, international business coaching guru, Carla Carvalho Dias, customer service culture expert
, Rogério Carapuça, ex-chairman of Novabase and current president of APDC - Portuguese Association for the Development of Communications and Richard Maloney,
mental coach which applies sports techniques in companies.

About Business Excellence Forum & Awards
The Business Excellence Forum & Awards is an event whose aim is to help Portuguese SME entrepreneurs grow their companies. It also seeks to celebrate and recognize the achievements, accomplishments and contributions of Portuguese entrepreneurs. BEFA also has a workshop component to train, educate and coach entrepreneurs, their teams, suppliers and customers in effective strategies for the participants. The format is informal but very intensive.
BEFA features a panel of internationally recognized speakers on increasing sales, better cash management and profitability, but also on leadership, team management, business systematization and the design of business models that guarantee success.
