The objective of this Mentoring program is to give the best possible framework for ISEG graduates in the labor market, creating conditions for building successful career paths.
Mentees are continuously accompanied by their Mentor during this integration process, so that they can prepare for the future, extending their learning process, acquiring and improving skills.
The Mentor will have the opportunity to "sponsor" someone with less experience, sharing his or her own, thus gaining a sense of self-realization.
Each edition of this program will last for 1 academic year.
BEING A MENTOR
The Mentors of this program are ISEG Alumni with more than 5 years of professional experience.
Being a mentor is:
- A sharing relationship.
- Having more experience and being able to share it.
- Have the ability to share thoughts and give other points of view.
- To be able to make an important contribution to future generations in helping them to be more successful in their professional lives.
- Try to understand the problems of young professionals and help them overcome "barriers" more easily.
- Have the perception that your experience could help society.
BEING MENTEE
The mentees of this program are ISEG 1st cycle students, Master and Post-Graduation students and alumni with less than 5 years of professional experience.
Being Mentee is:
- Be interested in acquiring different points of view and opinions, based on the Mentor's experience. - Be able to share difficulties and goals.
TRAINING & DEVELOPMENT
This Mentoring Program also includes a set of Training & Development actions throughout 2017/18. These trainings focus on soft skills and aim to develop skills in the area of Communication, Initiative, Adaptation to Change and Networking, considered fundamental for the success of a professional career.
