About the work:
The work is multidisciplinary, synthesizing knowledge that, in law schools, corresponds to several legal disciplines, seen as indispensable to teach students who, in the economics and MAEG degrees of ISEG, only have this legal discipline as mandatory.
The reader will find in this work a synthesis of very varied knowledge, having as its main thread, in the first line, the notion of Law, the values that justify it, the main branches into which it is divided and its application to personal, social and economic life.
Secondly, the authors were concerned to address the Portuguese political and legal system as it results from a directed reading of the Constitution of the Republic.
Finally, and taking private law, companies and the market as a reference, the main topics considered are those relating to individual and collective personality, the object of legal relations, business and civil liability, as privileged sources of obligations. Within business, the regime of what is considered the paradigm of onerous contracts, the purchase and sale, is developed.
