Congress | 1st Lisbon Social Network Congress "Ageing, from Social Isolation to Participation and Cohesion"

The Lisbon Social Network, through its Platform for the Area of Ageing, is organizing the 1st Congress of the Lisbon Social Network with the theme "Ageing, from Social Isolation to Participation and Cohesion", which will take place on 29 and 30 January 2015, at the Higher Institute of Economics and Management of the University of Lisbon (ISEG ULisboa).

In addition to national and international researchers and technicians, several organizations representing the elderly, which for two days will share knowledge and disseminate innovative practices and intervention projects in the area of social isolation of older people.

The Congress thus aims to promote a broader public debate on the social isolation of older people, seeking to put the issue on the political agenda, in order to produce recommendations for improving social intervention in this area.

The development of intervention policies that promote strategies for the effective participation of people in a more inclusive society is another of the major themes of the Congress.

The program includes the opening conference dedicated to the "2020 Strategy and Policies for Ageing", as well as thematic workshops and an exhibition of posters of intervention projects in this area.
