Debate | New Perspectives on the Civil War in Mozambique

On November 22nd, ISEG will host the debate "New Perspectives on the Civil War in Mozambique"organized by CESA - Center for African StudiesThe conference will focus on two recent and essential works that shed new light on Mozambique's 1976-92 civil war.

Works:
- The War Within. New Perspectives on the Civil War in Mozambique, 1976-1992 (2018), edited by Michel Cahen, a CESA researcher, with Eric Morier-Genoud and Domingos do Rosário, 
- Times of Rage: Memories of the Homoíne massacre, July 18, 1987, Mozambiqueby Hassane Armando (2018), from  African Times and Spaces Collectiondirected by professors and researchers Isabel Castro Henriques and Joana Pereira Leite. 


The debate will be moderated by Professor Jochen Oppenheimer and will feature author Michel Cahen and speaker Luiz Henrique Passador.

The session starts at 6pm in the Novo Banco room (Ed. Quelhas, 4th floor).
