Synopsis:
The myth of Medea revisited. A sorceress who uses filters and potions as a form of negative reciprocity. The woman from the ends of civilization who confronts the Greeks with their fears and anxieties. From the Medea of Apollonius of Rhodes, Euripides and Seneca to Heiner Muller's Medea. An operatic figure: Charpentier, Handel, Caldara, Rossi and Cherubini. Callas and Pasolini or the reinvention of the myth. A feminist and post-modern Medea.
