DS | Public Policies and Development Strategies

On May 14 and 15, ISEG will host a seminar entitled "Public Policies and Development Strategies, from 10h00 to 13h00, in the Novo Banco Lecture Theatre (Ed. Quelhas).

 

This seminar is part of the program  Development Studiesand will have as speaker the teacher BRIAN LEVYto talk about the relationship between public policies and development strategies.
The session will be in English and free to attend.

 

 
BRIAN LEVY
A specialist in international development, Brian Levy is currently a professor at the renowned Johns Hopkins University (USA) and the University of Cape Town (South Africa). He is the author of several books and scientific articles on regulation, industrial policy and the political economy of development strategies.

In 2014, he published  Working with the Grain (ed. Oxford University Press), in which he shares his 25 years of experience working for the World Bank in the areas of governance, growth and the definition of development strategies.
