A EWMD Portugal marks its formal establishment on 29 December 2008 and prepares for the launch of the 2009 Activity Plan.
EUROPEAN ORGANIZATION FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF MANAGEMENT SKILLS IN WOMEN EWMD Portugal (European Women's Management Development International Network) - European Organization for the Development of Management Skills in Women marks its formal establishment on 29 December 2008.
A EWMD Portugal aims to identify and propose actions and measures to promote women to executive positions within organizations. It aims to promote and participate in the sharing of management knowledge, both theoretical and practical, as well as to cooperate nationally and internationally with similar organizations or others that share similar purposes. The awareness of society for a greater gender diversity in the management positions of organizations is one of the missions of EWMD Portugal.
A EWMD Portugal is part of the international network of EWMD, an organization founded 24 years ago and with a presence in several European countries - Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Italy, Spain and Lithuania.
Leadership is the main theme chosen by EWMD Portugal to develop throughout this year. This first seminar, with the support of ISEG, aims to introduce the theme from a new perspective, that leadership should be based on strong ethical and moral values.
