Tomorrow, June 26, will take place the Inauguration of the Exhibition "Windows", within the scope of the 4th ISEG Painting Workshop, taught by Prof. Anabela Alves. The opening of the exhibition will start at
18h30, in the atrium of floor 3 (ed. Quelhas) and will be open until July 24.
Windows
Windows are our primitive essence. They give us the feeling of being free again, as we were at the beginning, but protected. We are inside and outside, we know how day and night are written, whether dangers are far or near, whether trees smile in spring or cry in the rain.
When we look out of the window we always find our runaway imagination, our dreams, our fears, our darlings. The windows we see in the late afternoon never close because we want the last lines of light, of different sizes and intensities that seem to come just for us. The windows of our evening are wide open in the glass, peeking out from under the blinds, very green, blue, orange. They do not close because we are there and the light is everything, inside and outside us, inside and outside the room.
And we can peek from the inside out and from the outside in, with curiosity about everything and nothing, with breaths of inspiration that the window leaves us. But just a little because the night also peeks and can deceive in shadows and traces. Just a little longer, please, let us contemplate the comings and goings of those who always hope to repeat the experience.
