Learning: Organization of five monthly one-hour programmes via video conference with American experts in the field of entrepreneurship and innovation who will share their experiences and know-how. An integral part of these sessions will be dedicated to networking between entrepreneurs and students, business representatives and institutions supporting innovation.

Getting started: In addition to the video-conference sessions and building on previous initiatives with NES, students and entrepreneurs will implement and/or develop their own initiatives, ideas, plans, based on indications given by the experts. The project will include a series of workshops with an entrepreneur/venture capitalist who will travel from the USA to help students and entrepreneurs with their projects.

Accelerate: Organization of a final event/competition of ideas, for projects and startups from the various universities in Portugal, including the University of the Azores. The projects in competition will be evaluated by a group of experts based on the originality of the project, its viability and other factors. The two winning projects will be awarded $12,500 for the start-up of the project and a trip to the USA with a program of visits tailored to the interests and needs of each project.
