The
Spring 2017 Contest takes place at ISEG on April 8, at 9:00 a.m., in Auditorium 2 (Ed. Quelhas, 2nd floor).
This is a
National Speech Contest which is part of a series of International Competitions involving more than 140 countries, until the world champion is reached, as happens every year.
The concept
Toastmasters
has been around since 1924, having been first developed by university professor Ralph C. Smedley in California, USA. Today it is the
the world's largest not-for-profit organization dedicated to the development of communication and leadership skills, operating in over 142 countries.
At the end of the competition, a
special guest, an international expert in communication and leadership, will come to share his experience from HARVARD University.
