Homage to J.M. Carvalho Ferreira
Following the retirement of
Professor José Maria Carvalho Ferreiraa group of colleagues and friends have decided to organize an event in his honour. It is therefore with great pleasure that we would like to invite you to take part in this event, which will take place on the following day.
November 20th.
The tribute includes a colloquium on the theme of Society and Utopia, in which guest speakers will reflect on the scientific contributions, civic intervention and human dimension of
José Maria Carvalho Ferreira. This will be followed by a Port of Honor and a commemorative dinner.
The colloquium will start at 6pm and end at 8pm, with the Port of Honor being served in the cloisters of ISEG's Quelhas building.
The dinner will take place in the Great Hall of the same building at 8.30pm.
In order to facilitate the organization of the activities, we would like to draw your attention to the need to express your willingness to participate in the colloquium/Port of Honour and/or the dinner by sending a confirmatory e-mail to
socius@iseg.ulisboa.pt, until November 13th.
Attendance at the dinner implies mentioning the type of dish you prefer (meat, fish or vegetarian) and payment of 20euros, which can be made at SOCIUS (at ISEG, Rua Miguel Lupi Building no. 20, Office 203) or at the Department of Social Sciences (Office 111 in the same building).
