ISEG joins GDP - Parliamentary Sports Group of the Portuguese Parliament in promoting and developing the "Yoga" workshop

Hatha Yoga is a type of yoga where you try to control your mind using your body as an instrument.

The practice consists of a set of exercises and techniques that can be summarized in three groups:
asana (postures), pranayama (breathing), yoga nidra (relaxation) and meditation.

  • Asanas - These are physical postures performed in tune with the breath, without mechanical repetition, working all the muscle chains and based on the correct alignment of the body.
  • Pranayama - Consists of controlling vital energy through breathing.
  • Meditation - practiced using various techniques to concentrate the mind.
