Biografia
Ricardo Rodrigues é Professor Auxiliar no ISEG e membro da direção do SOCIUS, Centro de Investigação em Sociologia Económica e das Organizações.
Doutor (PhD) em Social Policy and Social Work pela University of York, Reino Unido, é autor de diversos artigos científicos em revistas académicas internacionais e coordenador de diversos projetos de investigação internacionais. Tem como áreas de especialização as políticas de envelhecimento, especificamente os cuidados a idosos, desigualdades nos cuidados e na saúde e condições de trabalho no setor dos cuidados.
Anteriormente desempenhou funções no Ministério da Segurança Social em Portugal e foi investigador e vice-diretor do European Centre for Social Welfare Policy and Research em Viena (Áustria). Colabora frequentemente com governos da União Europeia e organizações internacionais (OMS, OCDE, Comissão Europeia) na avaliação e definição de políticas públicas.
