O International Credit Mobility is an Erasmus+ sub-programme that aims to develop cooperation between Europe and the rest of the world in order to improve the quality of education in European countries, increasing their attractiveness and competitiveness on a global scale, making European citizens active members in an increasingly globalised society.
Teachers interested in developing a joint project with a non-European HEI (Higher Education Institution) can carry out a Teaching Mission in one of the 12 regions covered by the programme and the budget awarded to each region by the National Erasmus Agency. See below Handbook.
Every year, the Rectory of the University of Lisbon submits an ICM application to the National Erasmus Agency. Teachers interested in obtaining a grant for an ICM project should contact their department to find out about the necessary procedures.

Applications
O Gabinete Internacional de Mobilidade aceitou candidaturas de docentes/funcionários do ISEG que pretendem realizar uma missão de ensino em mobilidade internacional durante os anos letivos de 2025/2026 or 2026/2027under the International Credit Mobility programme, Erasmus+ (STA - Staff Mobility for Teaching).
ISEG offers scholarships for the following destinations:

Eligibility
Professors who meet all of the following conditions will be eligible to apply for the programme:
- The teaching programme contributes to ISEG's mission;
- The candidate teacher is a Career Teacher (internal teacher);
- The lecturer is from a scientific area relevant to the exchange with the mentioned HEI.
Mobility Programme
The programme for the teaching assignment to be submitted with the application must include:
- Teaching activities (seminars, lectures, practical classes, workshops, etc.)
- Mobility programme for the teaching mission: the programme to be submitted with the application must include teaching activity and activities to promote and extend collaboration between the institutions.
Duration
The mobility will last 5 days + 1 or 2 days of travelling.
The teacher will have to teach at least 8 hours per mobility.
Application Formalisation
The application will be made by sending the documents to the International Mobility Office (imo@iseg.ulisboa.pt).
Documents:
- Faculty file;
- Teaching Mission Mobility Programmecompleted form, signed by the teacher and the host HEI;
- A short description of the mobility objectives and the expected benefits;
- Statement of approval from the Department/Presidency;
- Copy of ID document (to receive the grant);
- Copy of your tax card;
- IBAN proof
Grading Criteria
If the number of applications exceeds the number of scholarships available, the applications will be prioritised according to the following criteria:
- Generic preferential criterion: Applications that demonstrate plans to establish new contacts with researchers or teachers from the host institutions.
- The lecturer must have a teaching contract with ISEG, regardless of the type of contract and its duration.
- Priority will be given to candidates who have not yet taken part in an ICM Erasmus+ Mobility.
- Applications will be approved by ISEG's Presidency
Results and award
If the application is accepted, the candidate will be notified via their institutional email address.
The grant awarded will be transferred directly by the Rectorate to the IBAN indicated in the application. The grant is normally paid before the start of the mobility programme.
