The Technical University of Lisbon (UTL), in partnership with Deloitte and Caixa Geral de Depósitos (CGD), is promoting another edition of the UTL/Deloitte and UTL/CGD Young Researchers Awards. The two awards are intended to give visibility to scientific research and encourage the practice of publishing in journals of recognized quality, given the importance of producing new knowledge in the international evaluation of institutions in terms of the quality and timeliness of university education. Applications are open from February 25 to April 30, 2010.
The Awards are aimed at teachers, researchers and post-doctoral fellows from UTL's Research Units, who have been carrying out research at the University for at least three years, as stated in the affiliation mentioned in the published articles, who are resident in Portugal, who are under 35 years old on April 30, 2010 and who meet the requirements set out in the Regulations.
The Jury will award thirteen prizes and may also award up to twenty-six Honorable Mentions. Each prize is worth €1,000 (one thousand euros).
