MBA ISEG 2010/2011 - Silicon Valley Immersion Program

The Silicon Valley immersion program, in collaboration with USF (University of San Francisco), lasts one week and gives participants access to and an understanding of the Silicon Valley ecosystem. The program provides participants with "insights" for developing strategies in areas such as entrepreneurship, innovation and the creation of businesses and companies. The programme provides skills that are immediately applicable to intrapreneuring (business creation within the organization) and outside the organization. The program combines rigorous academic and practical content with contact with key players in Silicon Valley.

Participants will be registered as visiting students of the University of San Francisco and will obtain a certificate of participation signed by the Dean with the USF seal.

The program consists of:
a)Classes (15/20 hours), in modules of 2/3 hours in the areas of innovation and entrepreneurship.
b)Coaching sessions - (10 hours) for the development of business projects.
c)Visits to companies (10/15 hours).

The program may directly allow 3.5 credits to be obtained, but its structure and content allow it to support the preparation of a business project, whose report presented at the MBA Seminar, once approved, will allow 12 credits to be obtained to complete the MBA.
