Rui Lucas, Economics student at ISEG, was the winner of the Global Investment Challenge

The Global Investment Challenge is a competition open to the public, which allows a simulated experience of investing in the stock market and promotes increased knowledge about its mechanisms and functioning.

The competition allows the general public to test their knowledge as investors, while gaining a better understanding of the stock markets, their financial instruments and also improving their investment management skills.

 

The GIC is organized by Expresso and Simuladores e Modelos de Gestão (SDG). The competition is also sponsored by Millennium bcp and ActivoBank and supported by NYSE Euronext.

The prizes awarded were:
Two Trips to New York with a visit to the NY Stock Exchange: for the 1st place in the General Classification and the 1st place in the Certified Classification.
Ipad's for the 2nd and 3rd runners-up of each Classification.
Weekly Ipad's for the best of the Certificate classification.
Weekly Ipod's for the best in the General classification.
Internships at Millennium bcp Group: for the first three classified in the General Classification and in the Certified Classification who are considered Students according to the regulations.
