Prof. Maria João Santos received the prize awarded by Emerald - Awards for Excellence, in the Outstanding Author Contribution 2011 category, for her article "Corporate volunteering in Portugal", in the book Developments in Corporate Governance and Responsibility (Book Volume 1).
Abstract
The article summarizes the main results of an investigation into Corporate Volunteering in Portugal. It shows how volunteering has been used in the business context, the areas of intervention, how it is structured, how it is evaluated and discusses its position within a framework of assistance or qualified volunteering.
