Temporary exhibition at the ISEG Library "Law on the Separation of the State from the Churches, 1911"

 It is with great pleasure that ISEG, in the context of the commemoration of its Centenary, joins the Centenary of the Republic by hosting, in the space of its Library, an exhibition on the Law of Separation, current designation of the Decree-Law of April 20, 1911 and presented as the Law of Separation of the State from the Churches. This exhibition was kindly provided by the General Secretariat of the Ministry of Finance, and the exhibition website can be seen here. here The exhibition highlights a complex and fascinating process that took place in Portuguese society 100 years ago and which played a central role in the construction of contemporary Portuguese society. A bibliographic exhibition on the 1st Republic will also be on display in the Library. It is planned to hold several colloquia on this Law and other relevant topics on the Centenary of the Republic, in the Library space itself, as well as study visits to this exhibition.
